在过去，联想就有过少数的机种支援 Linux 作业系统，但现在联想准备扩大支援到更多的产品线上。由本月开始，联想将开始认证 P 系列 ThinkPad 与 ThinkStation 工作站电脑使用 Linux，让你可以选购（或说，你的公司可以选购）出厂即搭载企业版 Red Hat 或 Ubuntu 的机种。不过，这个计画暂时不会扩及到所有的商用机器，像 ThinkPad X1 Carbon 就不在列。 作为流程的一部份，LenovoLenovo 将 Linux 带到 P 系列 ThinkPad 与 ThinkStation 上
